The Governent has provided all schools in England with additional funds to promote an active, healthy lifestyle and to improve the provision of sport within schools.
We are delighted to have been allocated funding from the Government as part of their intention to leave a lasting legacy from the 2012 Olympic Games.
At Hambledon Primary School we have always valued the importance of high quality PE provision and how this positively impacts on our children’s health and well- being. All children at our school receive two hours of timetabled PE lessons per week, we also run a range of after school sporting clubs e.g football, dance, tennis etc.
To measure the impact of this funding we will look at children’s improved skills and participation, quality of our own staff’s teaching in PE and parental and pupil feedback.
Impact and progress will be reported to our Governing Body.
