During the next few months, Hambledon Primary School will be reviewing and writing its school travel plan. It is the intention to involve all stakeholders: pupils, parents, residents and staff in contributing towards the plan. The plan will be looking at how pupils, staff and visitors travel to and from the school. We intend to work towards the following outcomes:
- Improve safety
- Encourage pupils, parents, carers and staff to walk all or part of the way, or scoot or cycle to school where possible
- Encourage pupils, parents, carers and staff to use environmentally friendly ways of travelling to school
- To involve pupils through curriculum in considering the best ways to travel safely and healthily to school
The survey is being issued today also gives you an opportunity to highlight any barriers to sustainable travel and put forward suggestions to where improvements could be made to the local infrastructure. Paper packs will be issued to parents and residents will receive theirs through communication from the Parish Council. We would like to encourage everyone to respond before the deadline of Wednesday 30th January 2019.
