Hambledon Community
From parents to local residents there’s something very special about our local community. From helping with the 'Walking Bus' to listening to our children read, local community members are always willing to help and we are very grateful to them for their involvement.
You can expect a warm welcome from ‘Hambledonians’, everyone says 'Hello' on your way to and from school and if there's a celebration, you can rest assured the Village will be participating. Whenever possible we encourage Hambledon Pre-school to join us in celebratory events.
We work closely with the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Hambledon, who allow us to celebrate key occasions in the church. Havest Festival, Christmas and Easter celebrations are marked with special services. A member of the Church community also visits the school to talk to the children about religious occasions and to lead assemblies.
The school participates in Horticultural Society events and liaises with the Poetry Society, who each year award prizes to pupils in the school. We are always keen to utilise the skills and help from community members so if you feel you could contribute we would love to hear from you!
