The children really enjoyed a visit from Dawn Nelson the Storyteller.
She told them some of her own stories before they went off and created their own story stone which they then used to contribute to a whole class story.
World Book Day
Red Nose Day
The children in Robins class have been learning about the Great Fire of London. As part of their learning, they created their own houses using materials that would burn easily. The outcome of their learning was to watch their houses from Pudding Lane burn and to see how quickly the fire would spread.
Some of the children were a little anxious about having their houses burnt but they were brave and added them to the rest.
Robins Trip to Staunton Country Farm
Robins had a great day on Friday 28 June when we visited Staunton Country Farm.
We were led round by a brilliant guide who let us feed some of the animals and told us all about them. Some of us were lucky enough to see a baby Alpaca being born outside in a field. We went back later to see it with its mother in a bed of straw.
Thank you to all of our helpers, without you we would not have been able to go.
We had another great visit from DD Storyteller, who retold the story of the Weather Pig.
The children were able to get involved by singing songs and playing instruments.
Afterwards the children made their own Weather Pig puppets.
